"House had the best meet any Pioneer has ever had in the history of the program," Stanley said. "He might have surprised everyone but himself. What he accomplished today is nothing short of amazing."
With Saturday's performances, Stanley ended his Pioneer coaching career knowing that every male athlete to compete at the national indoor or outdoor meet finished as an All-American.
"I feel honored and blessed to be associated with Marietta College and Marietta Athletics," Stanley said. "All of the teams, coaches and student-athletes make me proud to be a Pioneer but my greatest pride comes from my track & field team. In addition to the regular season, these championship athletes have left me with highest sense of accomplishment I've had on the national stage. It makes the sting of leaving this wonderful school a bit less painful to bare."
