BEREA, Ohio — The Marietta College track and field team had its final tune-up for the Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship when the Pioneers competed at the unscored Sparky Adams Invitational Saturday (April 23) on the campus of Baldwin-Wallace College. [Results (PDF)]

The men's 4x400m Relay, which featured #Chase Oberfield (Heath/Heath)#, #Anthony Williams (Columbus/Bishop Hartley)#, #Brandon Harrison (Pataskala/Watkins Memorial)# and #Ryan House (New Concord, Ohio/John Glenn)holder#, came within 0.08 seconds of a school record set in 1969. The Pioneers placed second with a season's best time of 3:19.48.

Marietta also had nine athletes set personal records at the event: #Natalie Kaletta (North Royalton/St. Joseph Academy)# - 100m dash (13.88); #Corryn Muench (Cold Spring, Ky./Newport Central Catholic)# - 400m dash (59.61); #Sally Hauser (Columbus/Columbus School for Girls)# - 800m run (2:36.64); #Amanda Hardt (Mars, Pa./Mars Area)# - 800m run (2:52.35); #Jessica Gebhardt# - 100m hurdles (16.20); #Tyler Cordell (Caldwell/Caldwell)# - 800m run (2:00.76); #Christopher Breeden (Elkridge, Md./Long Reach)# - 800m run (2:15.39); #Ryan Lopez-Jordan (Beachwood/St. Peter Chanel)# - 110m hurdles (15.38); #Jason Hoskins (Westerville/Olentangy Orange)# - long jump (6.62m).
