Baseball junior first baseman Mike Hale (Dayton, Ohio/Northmont) was named the OAC Hitter of the Week after helping the No. 14 ranked Etta Express to a perfect 4-0 week. Hale had a pair of multiple-hit games as the Pioneers took over first place in the OAC standings with a 5-1 record. He went 2-for-3 with a home run and four runs batted in the second game at Heidelberg. Hale was a combined 5-for-8 with two doubles, three runs scored and three RBI in the sweep of Capital. For the week, Hale hit .538 with two doubles and a home run. He accounted for over half of Marietta's 23 runs last week with eight RBI and four runs scored. In addition to his seven base hits, Hale walked four times and was hit by a pitch.
