Marietta College Athletics

Senior Jacob Owens (Mansfield/Mansfield) hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to give the Pioneers a 69-68 win over Capital in a battle for first place in the OAC standings. Owens led Marietta in the game with 17 points hitting 6-of-8 shot attempts, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc. Owens scored 20 points and hit four more three-pointers in Marietta’s 98-87 win over Wilmington. For the season, he is shooting an incredible 52.4% (33-of-63) from long range.
