Men’s Basketball senior post player A.J. Edwards (Twinsburg, Ohio / Twinsburg) averaged 24.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game last week and was named the OAC Player of the Week for the third time this season as the Pioneers improved to 15-4 overall and 10-2 in the OAC. Edwards led the Pioneers in scoring in both victories last week extending his streak of double-digit point performances to 20 consecutive games. He scored 23 points in the win over Otterbein and notched his seventh double-double with 26 points and 10 boards in the win against Baldwin Wallace. Edwards leads Marietta in both scoring and rebounding this season. He is averaging 19.1 points and 8.8 rebounds per game. He currently ranks second in the OAC in scoring, third in rebounds and fifth in field goal percentage.
