Football sophomore defensive back Jakkar Bishop (Mansfield, Ohio / Mansfield) electrified the Don Drumm Stadium Homecoming crowd when he blocked a Wilmington extra point, scooped up the ball and raced the length of the field for Marietta’s first defensive extra points since 1995. Bishop finished the game with seven tackles including five solo stops and one tackle for a loss. He also picked off a Quaker pass and returned it 16 yards. Bishop set the tone of the game on the opening kickoff when he returned it 33 yards setting up the Pioneers’ first score of the game.
