Men’s Cross Country freshman Johnathan Kungle (Uniontown, Ohio / St. Thomas Aquinas) led the Pioneers to a second place finish in the Wittenberg Invitational last weekend. He posted a time of 18:00.49 on the 5,000-meter course to place fifth overall. Kungle’s fifth place finish was the highest for a Pioneer male since Caleb Muller took third place at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in 2012. Kungle earned OAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week honors for his performance.
