Men’s Basketball senior post player A.J. Edwards (Twinsburg, Ohio / Twinsburg) averaged 18.3 points and 8.0 rebounds last week and was named the OAC Player of the Week as the Pioneers opened the new season 3-0. Edwards notched a double-double with 24 points and 10 boards in the season-opening 101-75 victory over La Roche. He followed that with 16 points and 5 rebounds against Albright in the Hoopsville National Invitational Classic. Edwards finished the week with 15 points and 9 rebounds in MC’s 74-50 blowout of #2 ranked Christopher Newport earning Hoopsville All-Tournament honors.
