Men’s Basketball junior post player Eddy Grenert (Wooster/Triway) was named the Marietta Shrine Tournament Cliff Rose Most Valuable Player after averaging 10.5 points and 13.0 rebounds in two games last week. Grenert scored seven points and grabbed 12 boards in the Pioneers’ season opening win over Hanover. He followed that with 14 points and 14 rebounds in MC’s defeat of Saint Vincent. In addition to averaging a double-double, Grenert also dished out six assists, while shooting 47.1% from the floor and 50.0% from three-point range.
