GREENWOOD, Indiana – The 2025-26 Academic All-District women's at-large team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognized six Marietta College women athletes for their combined achievements in their sport and in the classroom. Seniors
Maggie Downard (Canal Fulton, Ohio/Jackson) and
Renee Mulvaney (Midland, Mich./Midland), junior
Emma DeWeese (Bellbrook, Ohio/Bellbrook), and sophomores Izzy Lindsay and
Molly Dickens (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) were all recognized from the women's lacrosse team.
Emily Capitosti (Perry, Ohio/Perry) from the women's golf was also honored.
Downard, an early childhood education major, has a cumulative GPA of 3.78. She started all 15 games and was sixth on the team with 11 goals scored.
Mulvaney, a studio art and graphic design major, has a cumulative GPA of 3.75. She appeared in all 15 games and was third on the Pioneers with 29 goals. She also supplied 21 assists for a total of 50 points on the season.
An early childhood and special education major, DeWeese registered a cumulative 3.77 GPA. DeWeese appeared in all 15 games and played stellar defense, causing five turnovers on the season.
Lindsay, a political science and strategic communication major, has a cumulative GPA of 3.98. She started all 15 games and collected 17 groundballs and five caused turnovers.
Dickens, also a political science and strategic communication major, has a cumulative GPA of 3.67. She started all 15 games and led the Pioneers with 42 goals, sixth in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
Capitosti, a psychology major, registered a cumulative 3.97 GPA. Capitosti golfed 16 rounds for the Pioneers this season, with her best finish of 8th place (+24) at the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Preview.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution. Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the games.
