WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio — The Marietta College women's golf team opened play in the Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Friday (May 1) afternoon on the par-72 River Greens Golf Club course. The 52-hole Championship continues Saturday and Sunday.
Mount Union leads the team standings after the first round with a score of 328. Ohio Northern is second at 330, followed by Heidelberg (336), Otterbein (338), Marietta (355), Muskingum (359), Baldwin Wallace (362), and Capital (368).
Mount Union's Amanda Fedor is the leader in the clubhouse after carding a 6-over-par, 78, in the first round.
Evie Gravlin (Columbus, Ohio/New Albany) and
Madelyn Ebersbach (Madison, Ohio/Madison) lead the Pioneers with identical rounds of 86, good for a tie for eighteenth.
Emily Capitosti (Perry, Ohio/Perry) shot an 87 and is tied for 20th.
Olive Armbrust (Doylestown, Ohio/Chippewa) recorded a round of 96, while
Addison Jackson (Guysville, Ohio/Federal Hocking) shot a 102 on day one.
The Pioneers tee off at 11:50 a.m. for round two on Saturday (May 2).
