GROVE CITY, Pennsylvania — The Marietta College women's golf team opened its spring season with a fourth-place finish at the Grove City Invitational Thursday (Mar. 26) afternoon. The tournament was played on the par-72 Grove City Country Club.
 
Westminster won the team title with a score of 335. Seton Hill was second with a 344, followed by Grove City (356), Marietta (366), Saint Vincent (408), Franciscan (409), Thiel (425), Geneva (439), and Waynesburg (439).
 
Grove City's Emily Burling took home the medalist honors with a six-over-par round of 78. Evie Gravlin (Columbus, Ohio/New Albany) was the Pioneers' top finisher. Gravlin tied for tenth with a score of 87.
 
Madelyn Ebersbach (Madison, Ohio/Madison) carded a round of 89 finishing tied for twelfth. Addison Jackson (Guysville, Ohio/Federal Hocking) and Oliver Armbrust both tied for nineteenth with rounds of 95. Emily Capitosti (Perry, Ohio/Perry) rounded out the Pioneer lineup with a sore of 99, which was good for a tie of 28th place.
 
Marietta is back in action at the Muskingum Invitational Sunday and Monday (Mar. 29-30) being played at the Cambridge Country Club.
