WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Marietta College junior
Nathaniel Demuth (New Philadelphia, Ohio/New Philadelphia) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week Monday (Sept. 29) afternoon by the league office.
Demuth kicked the game-winning field goal as time expired in Marietta's 24-21 road win at Capital University last Saturday. The 30-yard kick kept the Pioneers undefeated on the season. Demuth also converted all three of his extra point attempts.
For the season, Demuth has converted 8-of-10 points after touchdown and is 1-of-3 in field goals for a grand total of 11 points, third on the team.
Marietta is 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in the OAC. The Pioneers will travel to take on Ohio Northern University this Saturday (Oct. 4) afternoon. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
