SHAKER HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Marietta College women's golf team placed fifth at the Donald Ross Invitational hosted by John Carroll University Sunday and Monday (Sept. 21-22). The first round was played at Manakiki Golf Course, while the final round was played at the Shaker Heights Country Club.

John Carroll won the team title with a two-day total of 673. Otterbein placed second with a total score of 696, followed by Baldwin Wallace (713), John Carroll "B" (754), Marietta (758), and Ohio Wesleyan (786).

John Carroll's Julia Gulla won medalist honors with a two-round score of 158, four strokes ahead of the runner-up. Evie Gravlin (Columbus, Ohio/New Albany) was Marietta's top finisher with a score of 175, good for sixth place.

Maddy Ebersbach tied for ninth with a two-day score of 179. Emily Capitosti (Perry, Ohio/Perry) carded a score of 195 finishing tied for 22nd. Addison Jackson (Guysville, Ohio/Federal Hocking) placed 28th with a total of 209. Olive Armbrust (Doylestown, Ohio/Chippewa) placed 31st with a final score of 229.

Marietta will play in the Franciscan Fall Invitational on Saturday (Sept. 27) at the Steubenville Country Club.
