WESTERVILLE, Ohio – Marietta College placed one student-athlete on the 2025 All-Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Lacrosse Team announced on Thursday (May 1) morning by the league office. In voting by the conference coaches, Alayna Francis (Irwin, Pa./Norwin) was named to the second team.
 
"Alayna stepped up this year for us all over the field," said Marietta head coach Lindsay Reho. "She was a key player for our draw team whether she was taking the draw or on the circle. In times where we needed a spark, Alayna was able to secure key caused turnovers and pick up ground balls all over the field. She was a threat in transition picking up two goals for us in conference as well in big games."
 
Francis earned her third career All-OAC honor. She was fourth in the OAC with 84 draw controls and she led the team with 25 caused turnovers, good for fourth in the conference.
 
"I am so proud of her hard work," said Coach Reho. "She is so deserving of this honor!"
 
The Pioneers closed out the regular season with a with a dramatic defeat of Otterbein University which thrust them into the OAC playoff picture.  They were then defeated in the OAC Quarterfinals by Capital University.  Marietta finished with an overall record of 5-12, 1-6 in Ohio Athletic Conference play.
