GROVE CITY, Pennsylvania — The Marietta College women's golf team placed sixth out of 11 teams Thursday (April 3) afternoon at the Grove City Spring Invitational. The one round tournament was held at the par-72 Grove City Country Club.
Westminster won the team title with a score of 332. Thiel placed second with a score of 359, followed by Seton Hill (366), Grove City (369), Malone (371), Marietta (374), Geneva (388), Saint Vincent (398), Carlow (401), Franciscan (424), and Waynesburg (501).
Geneva's Madison Sharek carded a six-over-par 78 to win medalist honors.
Evie Gravlin (Gahanna, Ohio/New Albany) was Marietta's top finisher with a round of 89, tying for fourteenth place overall.
Maddy Ebersbach and
Emily Capitosti (Perry, Ohio/Perry) both tie for 21st with a score of 92.
Sarah Imig (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield Central) tied for 34th with a round of 101.
Olive Armbrust (Doylestown, Ohio/Chippewa) finished 44th with a score of104.
Marietta returns to action at the Ohio Northern Jimmy Hanlin Golf Classic this Sunday and Monday (April 6-7).
