GREENWOOD, Ind. – The Marietta College volleyball team had four players named to the 2025 Academic All-District Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators. Seniors
Jillian Fellers (Alliance, Ohio/Marlington) and
Emory Spitler (Lebanon, Ohio/Lebanon), junior
AnnaBelle Hacker (Centerville, Ohio/Alter), and sophomore
Karly Launder (Pleasant City, Ohio/Meadowbrook) were honored due to their academic efforts as well as their excellent play on the court.
Fellers, a Psychology major, earned a cumulative 3.92 GPA. Fellers led the Pioneers with 319 kills, leading her to break the Marietta College record for kills in a career. She was eighth in the OAC with 32 service aces and tenth in the OAC with 3.4 digs per set. Fellers earned AVCA All-American third team honors this season.
Spitler, a Marketing and Graphic Design double major, has a cumulative GPA of 3.93. She earned AVCA All-American third team status this year and led the OAC with 10.52 assists per set. She was also 11th in the OAC with 3.1 digs per set.
A health science major, Hacker registered a cumulative 3.99 GPA. She was fourth on the team in kills per set (2.10) and tenth in the OAC with 0.75 blocks per set.
Launder, a sports medicine major, posted a cumulative 3.97 GPA. Launder was fourth in the conference with 3.09 kills per set and was third on the team with a hitting percentage of .225 percent.
The Academic All-District honorees will advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-January.
