WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio — The Marietta College women's golf team placed eighth at the 2023 Ohio Athletic Conference Championship Sunday (April 23) afternoon. The 72-hole Championship was played on the par-72 River Greens Golf Course.
Otterbein won the team title for the second straight season. The Cardinals carded a four-round total of 1263 finishing 38 strokes ahead of second place Ohio Northern (1301). Mount Union placed third with a score of 1418, followed by Heidelberg (1441), Muskingum (1458), John Carroll (1492), Baldwin Wallace (1566), Marietta (1579), and Capital (1592).
Otterbein's Becky Williams took home medalist honors with a 21-over-par 309. She finished four strokes ahead of Ohio Northern's Grace Honigford (313), and five ahead of teammate Emma McGreal (314).
Helena Immel (Sugarcreek, Ohio/Garaway) led the Pioneers with a total of 371, good for 20th place.
Evie Gravlin (Columbus, Ohio/New Albany) carded a 385 to finish tied for 31st place.
Ava Huebner (Rootstown, Ohio/Rootstown) recorded a score of 402 placing 38th, while teammate
Shelby Byland (Coshocton, Ohio/River View) was 39th with a four-round total of 421.
Anna Reupert (Elsmere, Ky./Dixie Heights) rounded out the Pioneer lineup with a score of 477.
