WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio — The Marietta College women's golf team closed out the fall portion of its competition schedule with a sixth-place finish at the Ohio Athletic Conference Fall Preview Sunday (Oct. 2). The Preview was held on the par-72 River Greens Golf Course.
Otterbein won the team title with a two-day score of 629. Muskingum placed second with a score of 703, followed by Heidelberg (717), Mount Union (731), Baldwin Wallace (734), Marietta (798) and Capital (800).
Otterbein had the top four finishers including medalist Becky Williams. Williams carded rounds of 76 and 78 to finish with a 10-over-par 154. Teammate Emma McGreal was two strokes behind in second place with a score of 156.
Helena Immel (Sugarcreek, Ohio/Garaway) led the Pioneers with a 16th place showing. Immel shot rounds of 89 and 92 for a two-day total of 181.
Melanie Gibson (Newcomerstown, Ohio/Newcomerstown) recorded a score of 204, while
Evie Gravlin (Columbus, Ohio/New Albany) was one stroke behind with a 205.
Shelby Byland (Coshocton, Ohio/River View) carded a 208 and
Ava Huebner (Rootstown, Ohio/Rootstown) finished with a score of 230.
Grace Wharton (Waterford, Ohio/Warren) (220) and
Michaela Medich (Galloway, Ohio/Hilliard Bradley) (242) competed as individuals for the Pioneers.
