MARIETTA, Ohio — The Marietta College men's rowing team hosted the Head of the Muskingum Saturday (oct. 15) morning.
"There was some really good racing today. We had some very talented competition from Purdue University in the eights and also in the small boats," Marietta head coach
Greg Myhr said. "I'm happy with the resilience our men seem to be demonstrating, and I think it bodes well for the racing to come.:
Marietta had three of the four shells entered in the varsity 8+ race. Marietta A won the race with a time of 0:16:26, followed by Marietta B (0:16:30), Purdue (0:16:35) and Marietta C (0:17:49).
The Pioneers had the only three entrants in the varsity 4+ race with Marietta B posting the winning time of 0:18:23, followed by Marietta C (0:18:43) and Marietta A (0:18:48).
In addition to the fours and eight, there were 18 entrants in the men's singles race and three crews in the men's pair.
Marietta will race in the Head of the Charles next Sunday (Oct. 23).
