WEST LAFAYETTE, Ohio – The Marietta College women's golf team finished in eighth place at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament hosted at River Greens Golf Course on Sunday (May 2) afternoon. The course played par 72 and measured a total of 5,816 yards.

Tom Arison said, "Quality season, with many lessons learned in our shortened spring season. Thrilled for Alyssa for her All-OAC accomplishment. It shows her hard work this spring paid off."
The Pioneers finished eighth with a with a 54-hole team score of 1,169 (410-379-380). Ohio Northern won the tournament with a team total of 990, Otterbein was second (1,026), Baldwin Wallace finished third (1,099), Muskingum placed fourth (1,111), Capital was fifth (1,143), Mount Union placed sixth (1,150), and John Carroll finished seventh (1,167).
Alyssa Shawger (Nashport, Ohio/Tri-Valley) wrapped up her OAC Tournament with a round of 91. The 91 gave her a 54-hole total score of 266 which earned her 10th place. Shawger earned All-OAC honors with her top 10 finish in the tournament. Shawger finished behind the medalist Grace Honigford from Ohio Northern.
Morgan Scott (Ashville, Ohio/Teays Valley) fired her best round of the tournament, with a round of 96. Scott finished the tournament with a 54-hole total of 298.
Liz Leach (Waterford, Ohio/Waterford) finished one stroke behind Scott with a 54- hole total of 299. Leach capped her tournament with an 18-hole score of 95.
Helena Immel (Sugarcreek, Ohio/Garaway) finished her tournament with an 18-hole score of 98, to place her at a 54-hole total of 308.
Shelby Byland (Coshocton, Ohio/River View) rounded out the Pioneers performance with a round of 103 today. Byland tallied a 54-hole total of 314.
"We look forward to building on all the pieces coming back and improving on our finish from this season," concluded Coach Arison.
