Box Score BEREA, Ohio — No. 20 ranked Baldwin Wallace University outscored Marietta College in each of the four quarters en route to a 66-41 win Sunday (Dec. 12) afternoon in Ohio Athletic Conference women's basketball action.

The Pioneers move to 6-1 overall and 1-1 in the OAC. Baldwin Wallace improves to 6-1 on the season and 3-0 in conference games.

"We didn't accomplish any of our game goals today. Baldwin Wallace gets a lot of credit for that," Marietta head coach Kole Vivian said. "They were really tough today and we didn't compete like we needed to in a conference road game."

Kelly Levering (Powell, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty) was the lone Pioneer to reach double figures scoring a team-high 13 points. Erin Hahn (Louisville, Ohio/Louisville) and Devin Hefner (Parkersburg, W.Va./Parkersburg South) chipped in with seven points apiece. Hahn led Marietta on the glass with five rebounds, while Levering grabbed four boards.

Lilly Edwards led all scorers with 16 points and also pulled down a team-high seven rebounds. Megan Hensel scored 10 points and Emily Irwin added seven markers.

After Levering nailed a three-pointer to tie the game at seven, Baldwin Wallace went on 13-3 run to take a 20-10 at the end of the first quarter.

Hahn scored the fi4st bucket of the second quarter cutting the deficit to eight points, 20-12. BW answered with eight straight points pushing the margin to 16 points with 8:26 left in the half. Three-pointers from Kate Liston (Little Hocking, Ohio/Warren Local) and Levering allowed Marietta to get within 10 points, but a trio of three-pointers from the Yellow Jackets gave Baldwin Wallace a 42-23 lead at halftime.

Baldwin Wallace's defense held the Pioneers to just one point over the first six minutes of the third quarter. However, the Yellow Jackets were not able to capitalize on the scoring drought and managed to score just seven points as Marietta stayed within striking distance and trailed 53-32 heading into the final quarter.

The teams traded baskets in the first five minutes of the fourth quarter. Baldwin Wallace kept the lead around 20 points and kept the Pioneers from making a substantial run in the final minutes of the game.

Marietta travels to Westerville on Wednesday (Dec. 15) for a 7 p.m. game at Otterbein University.
