2008-09: Daun, a two-year letterman, split time as a starter and as a contributor off the bench during his junior season in 2008-09. The post player appeared in 20 games, made 11 starts and finished with an average of 7.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 20.3 minutes. Lutes scored a career-high 24 points against Heidelberg and then pulled down a career-best 14 rebounds to go along with 14 points for his only double-double of the year in the next game against Westminster.

2007-08: Lutes stepped into a starting role in the paint in his first season with the Pioneers as sophomore in 2007-08. Playing in all 25 games and making 19 starts, he averaged 7.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 19.9 minutes. Lutes reached double figures in eight different games and scored a season-high 20 points against Penn State-DuBois. He pulled down a season-best 13 boards against Wilmington and had two double doubles on the year.

Coach VanderWal says: “Daun will provide us depth in the low post again this year. Physically, he has a big strong body and his presence should be felt on the low block. Daun had a very solid junior year, and we look for him to contribute quality minutes again this year.”
