Biography

2012: Named Honorable Mention All-OAC...Earned first varsity letter after appearing in 14 games and making nine starts...was 6-0 with a 2.18 earned run average...Threw 66.0 inning striking out 44 batters with just 16 walks...Was the winning pitcher in OAC Tournament Championship game against Heidelberg...Picked up a win over No. 16-ranked Washington & Jefferson in the Mideast Regional.

2011: Appeared in 11 games and made one start…Went 1-0 with a 2.84 ERA in 19.0 innings of work…Pitched a career-high 5.0 innings and got the win in his lone start against LaRoche…Struck out a career-best five hitters against LaRoche…Threw one inning of shutout relief against Chapman in the World Series.

2010: Did not see any varsity action as a freshman.

Coach Brewer says: “Mike is the only returning starter with any experience to speak of. He will be our number one guy on the mound this spring and has put in the work to ensure success in that role. Mike is a three pitch guy that has a plus changeup.”
