WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Marietta College sophomore defensive lineman Ethan Crock (Caldwell, Ohio/Caldwell) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week Tuesday (Sept. 8) afternoon by the league office. Crock earned his first career weekly award after a strong performance against Westminster last Thursday.

Crock led a Pioneer defense that held Westminster to 24 yards rushing on 29 carries, collecting 3.0 sacks for a loss of 35 yards. Crock finished with five total tackles, including four solo and one assisted, and also had two quarterback hurries.

The Pioneers return to action this Saturday (Sept. 12) as they will be hosting Ohio Northern University.  Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
