MARIETTA, Ohio —Marietta College junior pitcher Austin Ziance (Highland Heights, Ohio/Mayfield) earned a spot on the 2026 D3baseball.com All-America team Thursday (May 28) morning earning a spot on the fifth team. Ziance is the 149th All-American selection in program history and the first since 2023.
 
"Austin has worked very hard to make himself one of the top pitchers in Division III baseball," Marietta acting head coach Bill Mosca said. "He is so deserving of this honor. We wish him the best of luck at WVU next year."
 
Ziance came on strong as the year progressed, collecting six victories on the season. His 5-1 record against Ohio Athletic Conference foes proved to be among the best in the league. He worked a total of 75.1 innings, including a league-leading four complete games. The Pioneer ace struck out 68 batters, good for fifth in the conference and was second in the OAC with 1.91 earned run average.
 
A first-time All-American, Ziance's list of accolades is stellar. He was named to the D3baseball.com All-Region Third Team and to the American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Region Second Team. He garnered first team All-OAC honors for the second straight season.
 
Ziance also fared well in the classroom as he earned Academic All-OAC status and was also named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District.
