WESTERVILLE, Ohio - BSN Sports and the Ohio Athletic Conference annually partner to recognize a Female Administrator of the Year, an opportunity to formally thank those administrators that have worked tirelessly to ensure that the student-athletes of the future have an even better experience. The 2026 BSN Sports Female Administrator of the Year was presented to Marietta head softball coach and senior woman administrator Jenn Castle at the Conference's annual awards banquet Monday (May 11) evening.

Beyond her primary responsibilities as head softball coach, Castle plays an integral role in the Marietta College athletic department, contributing essential insight and perspective to all major departmental decisions.

According to Marietta College athletic director Larry Hiser, Castle is "a compassionate listener dedicated to finding optimal resolutions across a wide range of situations, including team discipline, student-athlete conduct, interpersonal conflicts, and various administrative or parental concerns. Supporting both men's and women's programs, her extensive experience has established her as a trusted mentor and confidant for many of our younger coaching staff."

Castle also serves the college as Deputy Title IX Campus Coordinator and Investigator, a position critical to the overall safety of our campus community. She is often the primary contact for individuals across all departments. Her expertise is vital in evaluating complex interpersonal issues and determining if they meet Title IX thresholds.

In addition to those administrative duties, Castle maintains high standards of character and work ethic while guiding a premier Division III softball program to both academic and athletic excellence. She ensures that her team excels while consistently achieving a grade point average that ranks among the top three in the department.  Hiser added, "I have complete confidence in how her players represent our department socially, academically, and on the field, as evidenced by a team GPA that is regularly among the top three in the department."
