MARIETTA, Ohio — Marietta College will induct the 42nd class of Pioneer greats into the Athletic Hall of Fame as part of the annual Winter Weekend festivities slated for February 7-9, 2025.
The Class of 2025 inductees include baseball All-American
Jon Finke '85, all-conference women's soccer goalkeeper
Bethany (Blahnik) Brennan '06, Ohio Athletic Conference champion cross country and track and field runner
Caleb Muller '13, women's basketball and All-OAC track athlete
Krissy (Rowe) Knab '13, and All-American track hurdler
Ryan Lopez-Jordan '14.
In addition to the five former Pioneers, the
1974-75 OAC Champion men's basketball team and the
1975 NCAA National Runner-Up baseball team will be inducted.
The Hall of Fame ceremony begins with a reception at 6 p.m. and the banquet begins at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, February 8, in the Dyson Baudo Recreation Center. The Pioneer men's and women's basketball teams will also be in action against OAC rival Heidelberg University. The women play at 1 p.m. followed by the men's game at 3 p.m.

Jon Finke '85 — Baseball
Finke served as the Pioneers' team captain his senior season and earned a pair of varsity letters playing for legendary coach Don Schaly. Finke wasted little time making his mark on the program smacking the game winning home run in the NCAA Regional Championship game his freshman season.
Finke earned first team All-Region and first team All-OAC honors at first base as a junior and as a designated hitter his senior season. Finke capped his career with first team All-American honors at designated hitter in 1985. Always clutch in the postseason, Finke was named to the 1985 NCAA Regional All-Tournament Team.
During his four years in the pinstripes, the Pioneers were the most dominant team in NCAA Division III. Marietta won the 1984 OAC Championship, four straight NCAA Regional titles and the 1983 NCAA National Championship. Marietta also finished as the national runner-up in 1984 and 1985 and was third in the nation in 1982.
Finke graduated from Marietta College in 1985 with a degree in Management. He is currently employed by the Barber National Institute as the associate director of workplace safety.
Finke and his wife Kathleen live in Erie, Pennsylvania and are the parents of John and Lindsay Finke.
Bethany (Blahnik) Brennan '06 — Soccer
Arguably the best goalkeeper in program history, Brennan earned four varsity letters in women's soccer. She earned honorable mention All-OAC honors in her junior and senior seasons. Brennan was the OAC Clyde Lamb Award winner in 2005.
Brennan holds the Marietta College record for single season goals against average with a 0.62 GAA in 2005. Her 0.79n GAA in 2004 and 0.93 GAA in 2003 also rank among the best in program history. Brennan also holds the school records for career goals against average with a mark of 0.82 GAA, single season shutouts with 12 and career shutouts with 33.
During her four years in the Navy Blue and White, the Pioneers enjoyed the most successful run in program history going 11-7-1 in 2002, 12-7-1 in 2003, 12-6-0 in 2004, and 14-3-1 in 2005. The 14 wins in her senior season is the program record.
Brennan graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marietta College in 2006 with a degree in Allied Health. She was a three-time Academic All-OAC selection and earned third team Academic All-America honors as a senior. Brennan went on to earn a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Toldeo. She is currently employed as a physical therapist with University Hospitals.
Brennan and her husband Joseph reside in Shaker Heights, Ohio with their children Ellie and AJ.
Caleb Muller '13 — Cross Country and Track and Field
Muller earned 12 varsity letters at Marietta College lettering all four years in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. He finished his career as one of the most decorated distance runners in school history.
Muller was a three-time first team All-OAC performer in cross country. He won the OAC individual championship his junior and senior seasons and was named the OAC Male Runner of the Year in 2012 and OAC Clyde Lamb Award winner in 2013. Muller qualified for the NCAA Cross Country Championship each of his final three seasons and was named All-Great Lakes Region each of the seasons.
On the track, Muller earned All-OAC honors seven times for indoor and eight time for outdoor. He holds school indoor records in the mile run, 3000-meter run, 5000-meter run, 4x400-meter relay, and the distance medley relay. Outdoors, Muller holds records in the 5000-meter run, 10,000-meter run, and 4x800-meter relay. He qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track Championship in the 10,000-meter run in 2012 and 2013.
Muller graduated from Marietta College in 2013 with a degree in Information Systems. He earned a Masters of Science degree in Information Technology from Carnegie Mellon University. He is currently employed as an IT Business Partner with the Burnet Institute.
Muller and his wife Liz reside in West, Australia with the child Levin. They are expecting their second child in 2025.
Krissy (Rowe) Knab '13 — Basketball and Track and Field
Knab earned 11 varsity letters at Marietta College lettering three times in basketball and four times each in indoor and outdoor track after transferring to Marietta from the University of Toledo in January of her freshman year.
Knab played three years of basketball starting every game but one during her career. She led the team in steals twice and in assists once. Knab earned Academic All-OAC honors twice on the hardwood and was the 2013 OAC Clyde Lamb Award winner. Knab served as an assistant coach with the Pioneer women's basketball team for four seasons including the OAC Championship season in 2017-18.
Knab enjoyed considerable success on the track earning All-OAC honors five times indoors and eight times outdoors. Knab won OAC Outdoor Championships in the 4x400-meter relay, triple, and 200-meter dash. She was the OAC runner-up 10 times during her career. Knab was a two-time Academic All-OAC honoree for track
Knab graduated Magna Cum Laude from Marietta College in 2013 with a degree in Biology. She earned a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from Marietta in 2015.
Knab and her husband, MC Hall of Famer Kevin Knab '12, live in Marietta with their two children, Evelyn and Lucas.
Ryan Lopez-Jordan '14 — Track and Field
Lopez-Jordan earned eight varsity letters at Marietta College lettering four times each in indoor and outdoor track. One of the most dominant hurdlers in program history, Lopez-Jordan won five straight OAC hurdle Championships starting with the 2012 outdoor title and sweeping the indoor and outdoor titles in 2013 and 2014.
Lopez-Jordan qualified for the 60-meter hurdles at the NCAA Indoor Championships in 2013 and 2014. He finished fourth in 2013 and was third in 2014 earning All-American honors both times. Lopez-Jordan holds the Marietta College record in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.49 seconds and the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.02 seconds.
A three-time qualifier for the NCAA Outdoor Track Championships, Lopez-Jordan earned All-American honors in the 110-meter hurdles in each of those championship appearances. He finished as the national runner-up in 2013 and 2014 and finished seventh in 2012. Lopez-Jordan held the Marietta College record in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.13 seconds when he graduated. The record has since been lowered to 14.11 seconds by Alex Dimon in 2021.
Lopez-Jordan graduated from Marietta College in 2014 with a degree in Information Systems. He is currently self-employed and resides in Jacksonville, North Carolina with his spouse, Ernest.
1974-75 Men's Basketball Team
Under the direction of OAC Coach of the Year Phil Roach, the Pioneers posted a 19-4 overall record and went 11-2 in the OAC winning the regular season championship. Marietta dropped its first two OAC games of the season before bouncing back to win 11 straight league contests and capture the OAC championship.
The 74-75 team became the first in program history to advance into the NCAA Tournament where they defeated Allegheny in the first round 75-67 before falling in the regional championship game to Wittenberg 85-70.
1975 Baseball Team
Under the direction of National, Regional and OAC Coach of the Year Don Schaly, the Etta Express finished with a 44-6 overall record and went a perfect 16-0 in the OAC. The Pioneers won the OAC and Mideast Regional titles advancing to the NCAA World Series for the first time in program history.
In 1975, the NCAA only had two championships, one for the Division I schools and one for Division II and Division III combined. Marietta was the only non-athletic scholarship school in the Mideast Regional and the World Series. During the 1975 season the Pioneers played Division I schools Auburn, Davidson, Georgia Tech, Kent State and Xavier. The Etta Express lost to perennial Division II powerhouse Florida Southern in the National Championship game.
While the 1975 team did not win the National Championship, they did set the foundation for a 13-year span that saw the Etta Express win 11 NCAA Regional tournaments advancing to the World Series, three National Championships with five runner-up showings, two third-place finishes and one fourth-place finish.
