MARIETTA, Ohio — Team MC Baseball fired an 18-under-par to win the 39th annual Marietta College Pioneer Club Golf Outing Friday (July 19) at the Marietta Country Club. The winning foursome finished the par-70 course in 52 strokes, two shots better than the second-place team.
The winning team included Pioneer head baseball coach Brian Brewer '93, former Pioneers Scott McVicar '87 and Logan Vietmeier '22, and Vietmeier's father, Gordan Vietmeier. A team of MC men's basketball alums placed second with a 16-under-par 54. The team included current Pioneer assistant coach Travis Schuba, and program alumni Karson Snyder '21, Jason Ellis '22, and Lukas Isaly '22.
Thanks to the generous support of several sponsors, all proceeds from the annual event will go directly into the Pioneer Club fund. Special thanks go to longtime title sponsors, BSN Sports and FieldTurf.

Prizes were awarded to the top two foursomes, the 17th place foursome and various hole prizes. The hole prizes were won by Kelly Gillard (longest drive #9), Dave Miller (closest to the pin #12), and Logan Vietmeier (longest drive #14).
A total of 35 teams, featuring 140 golfers made up the 2024 field. The Marietta College athletic department would like to thank everyone who participated and looks forward to another successful outing in 2025.
