Pitching continues to carry Pioneers against Valparaiso

PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Sophomore Terry Mulholland struck out eight and allowed three hits as Marietta defeated Valparaiso 4-0 in the first game of a doubleheader on Wednesday, March 9.
 
Mulholland improved to 3-0 on the season, while the Pioneers are 8-2.
 
Mark Talarico went 3-for-3 with three RBI for the Etta Express, while Steve Riley went 3-for-4 with and RBI. Jim Pancher went 2-for-4 with a double and two runs, and Jeff Wiktorski added two hits.
