MC erupts for 14 hits to take down Beacons

PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Marietta returned to the diamond on Thursday, March 10 to take on Valparaiso again and the Pioneers got a strong showing from Kean Weaver.
 
Weaver  (1-0) struck out eight and scattered seven hits as the Pioneers won 9-4.
 
Jon Shuler and Jeff Wiktorski each belted home runs for the Pioneers (9-2). Shuler went 3-for-4 with two RBI, while Wiktorski was 2-for-2 with two RBI and three runs.
 
MC's Jim Pancher added three hits, while Mark Talarico and Bill Varley had two hits.
 
Valpo's Dave Kaczmanski and Eric Milholland each had homers.
