MARIETTA, Ohio — As the Pioneers Fall 2024 season draws to a close, we are incredibly proud of the achievements made by all our teams in this competitive year. Our players have shown unparalleled dedication, skill, and teamwork, continually propelling us to new heights. Here's a look at how each team performed and the milestones they've reached.
Rainbow Six: Siege - The Rainbow Six: Siege team has set a new standard for success in our program.
Finishing second in the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC) Division IV East conference, they ended the season with an impressive
5-3 record. This marks the best performance in our program's history, showcasing the team's growth and exceptional dedication. Their resilience and strategy throughout the season were key in achieving this remarkable feat, and we can't wait to see what next season holds.
Valorant - Our Valorant squad also had an outstanding season, securing
third place in the NECC Division IX East conference with a strong
7-3 record. Their consistent performance and ability to adapt to various opponents earned them a well-deserved top three finish. The team looks forward to propelling themselves even further next semester.
Overwatch - The Overwatch team reached new heights by qualifying for the
Division VIII Mideast conference playoffs in the NECC. They finished the season with a
4-4 record, a solid performance that showcased their skill and determination. While their playoff journey was cut short, making it to the postseason was an incredible achievement, and the team has a bright future ahead.
Fortnite - Our Fortnite duos team delivered exceptional performances across their
East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) qualifier matches, finishing
second in each of their four qualifiers. They went on to place
eighth overall out of 50 teams in the championship, a fantastic result in such a highly competitive field. Their consistency and coordination throughout the season were critical to their success, and we're incredibly proud of their efforts.
As we wrap up this season, we want to extend a huge thank you to all our players, coaches, and supporters who made these achievements possible. The dedication, teamwork, and perseverance shown by each team have truly elevated our program. We're excited for the future, and we can't wait to see what next season has in store for our talented players.
