Marietta College announces broadcast agreement with CAS Cable

8/4/2022 12:37:00 PM

MARIETTA, Ohio – Marietta College Director of Athletics Larry Hiser announced a new partnership with local cable company CAS to broadcast the Pioneers' home football games this fall. CAS will deliver Marietta College football on a multitude of platforms to the residents of the Mid-Ohio Valley and beyond.

"We are really excited to be working with CAS Cable because it is a win-win for us. We will penetrate the Mid-Ohio Valley on a known and growing cable network with plenty of subscribers which makes it valuable to our advertisers. In addition, by allowing us to stream their broadcasts, all our constituents in distant locations, will be treated to a high-quality production with multiple camera angles, replay and on-screen graphics," Hiser said. "I encourage all our moms, dads, grandparents, and extended families to encourage everyone in their communities to watch Marietta football games and help us spread the good word of our program and the College."

The games will be shown live on CAS 45, an HD channel available to CAS cable customers.  The local cable company, based out of Parkersburg, West Virginia, has a long history of showing community events like parades and school concerts as well as high school sports.

Non-subscribers will also benefit from this partnership as the games will be streamed live on the CAS Cable Facebook page (CAS Cable | Facebook) and the CAS Media YouTube page (CAS Media - YouTube).  These platforms will also benefit the families of team members and Marietta College alumni that live outside of the company's traditional broadcast viewing area.

"It's very exciting for us to partner with Marietta College", says Brian Guthrie, Media & Marketing Manager for CAS Cable.  "Since 1977, CAS Cable has strived to integrate with the community in the Mid-Ohio Valley and being able to team up with an institution like Marietta College is a logical step.  We look forward to producing and airing high quality broadcasts of Pioneer football and giving Marietta College the chance to reach their audience more easily."

In addition to the various CAS platforms, all Marietta College athletic events are streamed through the college's athletic website and the OAC TV app on Amazon Fire and Roku enabled devices.

Links to scheduled broadcasts will also be located at the college's athletic website, pioneers.marietta.edu.  Replays of other Marietta College athletic programs will also air on CAS 45 throughout the year.  Sponsorship opportunities are available by contacting the Marietta College Athletic Department at (740) 376-4665.
