Marietta College Athletics and Chick-fil-A® Partner to Bring Food, Fun and Prizes to Pioneers Fans
 
MARIETTA, Ohio — Marietta College Athletics and Chick-fil-A announced a partnership that will enhance the fan experience for Pioneer athletic events through the 2026-2027 academic year. 

The partnership will bring food, giveaways, contests, and additional entertainment including Chick-fil-A food available at home football games, sandwich giveaways for students at select games and a variety of in-game contests with the opportunity for fans to win Chick-fil-A prizes.

"We are excited to welcome Chick-fil-A into our portfolio of program partners this year," said Joe Bergin '86, Director of Athletics and Head Men's Soccer Coach at Marietta College. "From the beginning of the year, we have been focused on how we can make improvements to our home game atmosphere and fan experience, and this is a natural fit."

"We are excited to partner with Marietta College," said George Angelos, franchisee and owner of Chick-fil-A in Vienna, West Virginia. "Both of our brands have a positive impact in our community, and both brands like to have fun. We are excited to see how we can grow this partnership and create some great experiences for Pioneers fans."

As part of the partnership, Chick-fil-A signature chicken sandwiches will be available at every Pioneers home football game during the 2026 season, either through the franchise's food truck or through the College's concession stand. 

Fans will also have a chance to win Chick-fil-A branded prizes at football, volleyball, and men's and women's basketball games throughout the season. 

Additionally, with a focus on improving student experience and attendance at games, the first 50 students seated in the student section of selected home games will receive a Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich. The student appreciation games are scheduled for: 

• Football: September 3 vs. Westminster, 7PM 
• Volleyball: September 15 vs. Wittenberg, 6PM 
• Women's Soccer: October 14 vs. Mount Union, 7PM 
• Men's Soccer: October 21 vs. Capital, 7PM 
• Men's and Women's basketball games: to be announced 

Marietta College employees and students have free admission to all home regular season athletics contests. Fans can purchase tickets online at pioneers.marietta.edu.
