UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio — The Marietta College women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision at John Carroll University Saturday (April 2) afternoon. The Pioneers slip to 2-7 overall and 0-1 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. John Carroll moves to 7-5 overall and 3-0 in the OAC.
JCU swept the three doubles matches for an early 3-0 lead. Megan Reese and Mia Zivlovic downed

Anne Thompson (Wilmington, Ohio/Clinton-Massie), 8-0, at No. 1.
Parkar Mauk (Marion, Ohio/Marion Harding) and Abigail Hartshorn fell at No. 3 to Emily Duckett and Emily Day by the score of 8-1.
Madilyn McKitrick (/) and
Payton Brinks (Mattawan, Mich./Mattawan) battled Jaclyn Voss and Caroline Chandler at No. 2 before eventually falling, 8-5.
In singles action, Reese beat Thompson in the top spot, 6-1 and 6-0. At No. 2, Binegar lost to Zivkovic, 6-0 and 6-0, while Brinks lost to Morag Little at No. 3 by the same scores.
Chandler was a 6-0, 6-0 winner against Hartshorn at No. 4. McKitrick lost to Peyton Crumpler at No. 5, 6-2 and 6-0. Anna Vitale downed
Drew Taylor () at No. 6, 6-2 and 6-0.
Marietta hosts Muskingum University on Wednesday (April 6) at 4 p.m.
