WESTERVILLE, Ohio – The Marietta College women's soccer team dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference match at Otterbein, 5-0 on Wednesday (Oct. 26) evening. With the loss the Pioneers fall to 3-11-1 overall and 2-6 in OAC play and with the win the Cardinals are 10-4-2 overall and 6-1-1 in the OAC.

Madison Miller (Marietta, Ohio/Warren) and did it again about a minute later to give the Cardinals a two goal lead. In the 30
th minute, Grace Weidenhamer scored her second goal of season. With just moments left in the half, Otterbein lit up the scoreboard one more time as Alexandra Stein scored. That late goal gave Otterbein a 4-0 lead heading into the half.
The Cardinals scored their fifth goal of the match in the 84th minute. Alyssa Lemos fired a shot from eight feet away past backup goalie
Brooke Smith (Cortland, Ohio/Maplewood) to close out the scoring.
Madison Miller (Marietta, Ohio/Warren) played first half in the net for Marietta. She faced 13 shots, nine of which were on goal, and made five saves.
Brooke Smith (Cortland, Ohio/Maplewood) played the majority of the second half before being relieved by
Anna Bardwell (Westerville, Ohio/Westerville Central) with eight minutes remaining.
The Pioneers will return to action Saturday (Oct. 29) when they host Ohio Northern with kickoff scheduled for 2 p.m.
