HIRAM, Ohio — Marietta College and Hiram College battled to a 0-0 double overtime draw Tuesday (Sept. 12) evening in non-conference women's soccer action. The Pioneers are now 1-2-2 overall, while Hiram moves to 1-3-1 on the season.
Freshman
Katie Conkle (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer) played all 110 minutes in goal for Marietta and made seven saves en route to the clean sheet. Ally Green was equally impressive in goal for the Terriers also posting seven saves.
McKenzie Dorr (Nashport, Ohio/Tri-Valley) led the Pioneer attack taking three shots on goal in the match.
Kelsey Carver (Bellville, Ohio/Clear Fork) added a pair of shots on frame for the Pioneers. Delaney Stryczek and Courtney Wendel each took two shots on goal for Hiram.
The Pioneers outshot Hiram 14-11 on the night. Marietta also held a 9-5 advantage in corner kicks.
Marietta plays at Oberlin College on Friday (Sept. 15) at 7 p.m.
