WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Otterbein University swept Marietta College, 3-0, Tuesday (Oct. 24) evening in Ohio Athletic Conference volleyball action. The loss drops Marietta to 11-16 overall and 3-5 in the OAC. Otterbein improves to 24-3 overall and 7-1 in the conference.
Senior
Darcy Irish (Lagrange, Ohio/Keystone) led the Pioneers with 10 kills. Classmate
Erica Denallo (Parma, Ohio/Independence) added six kills and nine digs, while
Sam Ritenour (Jeffersonville, Ohio/Miami Trace) finished with four kills and three blocks.
Aly Wiseman (London, Ohio/Bishop Ready) and
Maddie Nader (Vermilion, Ohio/Vermilion) dished out seven assists each and
Ellie Gerber (New Philadelphia, Ohio/New Philadelphia) notched six assists. Senior libero
Emily Peters (Elyria, Ohio/Keystone) had a team-high 13 digs.
Marietta closes out the regular season at home against Ohio Northern University on Friday (Oct. 27) at 7 p.m.
