MARIETTA, Ohio — Four Pioneers scored in double figures as the Marietta College women's basketball team defeated Otterbein University 80-66 Wednesday (Feb. 17) evening in Ban Johnson Arena. The Pioneers improve to 12-12 overall and 6-11 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Otterbein slips to 13-11 overall and 8-9 in the OAC.
Amisha Herd (Zanesville, Ohio/West Muskingum) led all scorers with 23 points. She also had five assists, four steals and four rebounds in the game.
Shay Lett (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) and Jenna Anderson both scored career-highs with 16 and 14 points, respectively.
Morgan Liedtke (Lowell, Ohio/Fort Frye) finished with 10 points.

Jo Herd-Middlebrooks (Columbus, Ohio/DeSales) each grabbed a team-best six rebounds.
Abby Miduri recorded a double-double for Otterbein with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Amariah Huck had 15 points and six boards, while Ali Cartnal and Dani Kissel each scored 12 points.
Otterbein grabbed the early lead and did not trail in the first half. The Cardinals led 16-11 after the first quarter and led by as many as nine points in the second. Marietta used a 9-0 run to draw even and the game was knotted at 31 going into halftime.
Marietta finished the third quarter on a 7-1 run to grab a 60-54 lead heading into the final period. The Pioneers scored first in the fourth quarter and never trailed in the final 10 minutes.
For the game, Marietta shot 42.0% (29-of-69) from the floor, 36.4% (8-of-22) from three-point range and 70.0% (14-of-20) at the line. The Cardinals were 26-of-52 (50.0%) from the floor, 7-of-18 (38.9%) behind the arc and 7-of-11 (63.6%) at the line.
Otterbein edged the Pioneers on the glass 38-33. The Cardinals committed 27 turnovers resulting in 29 MC points, while Marietta turned the ball over 11 times.
