WESTERVILLE, Ohio — Otterbein University secured the Ohio Athletic Conference regular season women's soccer title with a 3-0 victory over Marietta College Wednesday (Oct. 29) evening. The Cardinals are 11-2-4 overall and 7-0-1 in the OAC. Marietta falls to 1-14-3 on the season, and 1-5-2 in conference play.
The two teams were scoreless through the first 45 minutes. Otterbein dominated possession and took nine shots in the opening period, while the Cardinal defense held the Pioneers without a shot.

Rebecca Tenney (Pepper Pike/Orange) made five saves in the first half to keep the match level, 0-0, heading into the intermission. She would finish the match with eight total saves.
Otterbein got on the board in the 53rd minute when Melinda Stemen took a pass from Abbey Miltko and beat the Pioneer keeper for her fifth goal of the season. Three minutes later Madison Burchfield made it 2-0 with an assist from Alex Ancona.
Erica Meier scored her first goal of the season in the 65th minute.
The Cardinals outshot Marietta 18-1 for the match including a 11-0 advantage in shots on goal. Otterbein also held an 8-2 edge in corner kicks.
