MARIETTA, Ohio — John Carroll University scored two goals in the first six minutes en route to a 3-0 win over Marietta College Saturday (Oct. 18) afternoon in Ohio Athletic Conference men's soccer. The Blue Streaks, winner of nine in a row, improve to 12-3 overall and 5-0 in the OAC. Marietta drops to 5-8 overall and 3-2 in the OAC.
Brian Potocnik scored the first of his two goals just over four minutes into the match. Potocnik, the leading scorer in the OAC, blasted a shot from outside the 18-yard box that deflected off the Marietta keeper's hands and into the net.
JCU's Dalton Browsky scored less than two minutes later off an assist from Shaq Bridges for a 2-0 Blue Streak lead. The goal was Browsky's fifth of the season.
Potocnik added an insurance goal in the 86th minute. The senior again showed his lef strength firing a shot from the left side of the 18-yard bx to the far post for his 13th goal of the season.

Sebastian Parra (Bexley/Bexley) went the distance in net for the Pioneers. Parra recorded a career high 11 saves. Derek Jenkins recorded the shutout in goal for JCU. He made four saves.
John Carroll outshot the Pioneers 30-5 for the match. The Streaks took eight corner kicks, while Marietta took two.
