Box Score CARLISLE, Pa. – Dickinson College made its first seven shots of the game, including four three-pointers, and never looked back as the Devils defeated Marietta College by the score of 80-65 Saturday (March 2) in the first round of the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament.
The Pioneers finish the season with an overall record of 20-8, while Dickinson moves to 21-7 and will face the College of Wooster in the second round next weekend.

Dickinson's perfect shooting led to an early 19-6 lead. Freshman Brandon Angradi nailed a three with 15:38 left in the first half to put the Devils up by 13.
The Devils shot an impressive 55.6% (15-of-27) from the floor in the first half, including 60.0% (6-of-10) from behind the arc.
The two-headed monster of junior Adam Honig and sophomore Gerry Wixted kept the Pioneers' on their heels all night. Honig finished with a game-high 32 points, while Wixted added 20 points.
Honig shot an incredible 12-of-15 from the floor and was 5-of-7 from three-point range. Wixted finished 7-of-11 from the floor. They each pulled down eight rebounds.
Dickinson kept the lead in double figures the rest of the game. Marietta cut the deficit to 10 points, 36-26, on a three-pointer from senior
Jacob Owens (Mansfield/Mansfield) with 3:05 left in the opening period. The Devils led 40-26 at the half.
The Devils scored the first four points of the second half extending their lead to 18 points, 44-26, less than a minute into the period. The Dickinson lead ballooned to as many as 24 points, 68-44, with 9:40 left in the game.
Owens led the Pioneers with 15 points shooting 4-of-8 from three-point range. Sophomore
Garrett Stephenson (West Milton/Milton-Union) hit three treys and finished with 13 points and eight rebounds.
Junior
Tyler Hammond (Cleveland/St. Ignatius) scored 12 points, while Martin added 11 points and eight boards.
For the game, Marietta shot 36.8% (21-of-57) from the floor, 34.6% (9-of-26) behind the arc and 82.4% (14-of-17) at the line. Dickinson hit 30-of-52 (57.7%) from the floor, 10-of-18 (55.6%) from three-point range and 10-of-15 (66.7%) at the line.
Dickinson edged the Pioneers on the glass, 35-28. Marietta forced 11 Devil turnovers while committing just eight.
