GREENWOOD, Indiana – The Marietta College men's basketball team had one player named to 2026 Academic All-District Team, as selected by College Sports Communicators. Junior Luke Powell (St. Marys, W.Va./St. Marys) was the lone honoree from the men's team. The student athlete was honored due to his academic efforts as well as his play on the court.

Powell, a Management and Marketing major, has posted a cumulative 3.54 GPA up to this point in his Pioneer career. This season, he came off the bench to provide the Pioneers with 4.1 points per game. He also was a presence in the paint grabbing 3.8 rebounds per game, fourth on the team, and was second on the team with 19 blocks.

The Men's Basketball team finished with a 9-16 overall, 4-12 in the Ohio Athletic Conference, and fell just short of making the OAC tournament.

Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, second, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-April.
