APPLETON, Wis. – With a brilliant pitching performance from senior #
Mike Mahaffey (Worthington/Bishop Watterson)#, the Marietta College Pioneers advance to the National Championship game for the 13th time in program history.

Tim Saunders (Alliance/Alliance)# went 4-for-4 at the plate and scored three runs, while freshman left fielder #
Mitch Geers (West Chester/Lakota East)# was 3-for-4 with a pair of runs batted in. Junior center fielder #
Aaron Hopper (Wheelersburg/Wheelersburg)# also collected two hits in four at bats.
Senior #
