ADA, Ohio – The Marietta College men's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision at Ohio Northern University Saturday (Oct. 13) afternoon. The No. 9-ranked Polar Bears improve to 14-2 overall and 5-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Marietta falls to 4-9 on the season and 1-4 in the OAC.
Ohio Northern's Keegan Ross headed in a free kick from Chris Matejka in the 17th minute for the game-winner. Just before halftime, Stephen Perkins made it 2-0 with an assist from Nate Bascom.
The Polar Bears extended their lead early in the second half when Shintaroh Itoh fired a shot from the left side of the box inside the far post. Bascom and Cameron Johnson assisted on the goal.
Ohio Northern took 24 shots in the match, while the Pioneers managed one. The Polar Bears had a 13-1 edge in corner kicks.

Chris Stollar (Marietta/Marietta)# had a season-high 12 saves on the day. Mac Church recorded one save in goal for the Polar Bears.
