MARIETTA, Ohio – Muskingum University escaped hard fought five set victory over Marietta College Tuesday (Oct. 9) evening in Ohio Athletic Conference volleyball. The Fighting Muskies edged the Pioneers 3-2. The set scores were 20-25, 25-22, 25-18, 24-26 and 15-13.
Muskingum improves to 13-11 overall and 2-2 in the OAC. The Pioneers fall to 13-7 on the season and 2-2 in league play.
The Muskies' Hanna Rose led all players with 26 kills in the match. Marietta was led by junior outside hitter #
Paige DeVriendt (Bowling Green/Bowling Green)# and freshman right-side hitter #
Keri Horton (Westland, Mich./Wayne Memorial)# with 16 kills each. Sophomore middle blocker #
Rachel Hackenberg (Canal Winchester/Franklin Heights)# added 12 kills for the Pioneers.

Mary Ervin (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy Orange)# had 20 and 17 digs, respectively.
