GAMBIER, Ohio – The Kenyon College men's soccer team scored three first half goals en route to a 4-2 victory over Marietta College Sunday afternoon. The loss drops Marietta to 1-4 on the season, while Kenyon is 3-3-1 overall. [

The Lords wasted little time taking control of the match as Andrew Parmelee scored just over four minutes into the first half. Lewis Willams-Gray assisted on the goal. J.J. Jemison (14th minute) and Keith Dangarembwa (27th minute) both scored goals with an assist from Alistair Flynn.
After being held without a shot in the first half, the Pioneers scored a pair of goals in the second period. Freshman midfielder
Todd Sabol (Barberton/Barberton) found the back of the net in the 66th minute with an assist from senior midfielder
Michael Lomas (Grand Rapids, Mich./East Kentwood). It was Sabol's second goal of the season.
After an own goal gave Kenyon a 4-1 lead, junior defender
Brandon Siringer (Willowick/Eastlake North) tallied his second goal of the year when he took a pass from sophomore defender
Ryan Stephens (Enon/South Point) and beat the Kenyon keeper.
Both teams used two goalkeepers in the match. Sophomore #ChrisStollar
started for the Pioneers and made three saves. Classmate (North Royalton/North Royalton)Bobby Thaxton# entered in the 62nd minute and recorded two saves.
Jared Kunze played the first half in goal for Kenyon. Tyler Schatz played the second 45 minutes and posted one save.
Kenyon took 20 shots to just four for the Pioneers. The Lords also held a commanding 7-0 advantage in corner kicks.
Marietta travels to Beaver Falls, Pa. on Wednesday, September 21st for a 7 p.m. match against Geneva College. The Pioneers return home on Friday when they host Waynesburg (Pa.) in a 1 p.m. match.
