ALLIANCE, Ohio – The No. 2-ranked Mount Union Purple Raiders demonstrated why they are the most dominate team in Division III football with a 62-0 win over Marietta College Saturday afternoon. The Purple Raiders upped their record to 5-0 overall and 4-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference. Marietta falls to 1-4 overall and 0-4 in the OAC. [

Mount Union needed just three plays to score on their first drive of the afternoon and never looked back. Quarterback Neal Seaman hit Julius Moore on a 36-yard scoring strike with 8:38 left in the first.
The Purple Raiders scored 21 points in the first quarter and added 14 more in the second. Jasper Collins scored a pair of touchdown in opening period, one on an 11-yard pass from Matt Piloto and the second on a 47-yard punt return.
The Pioneers' freshman defensive back #
Darious Williams (St. John's, Fla./Creekside)# intercepted Piloto's first pass attempt of the second half. But, any hopes of a comeback were squelched two plays later when Mount's Chaz Jordan intercepted junior quarterback #
Tom Fulton (Pittsburgh, Pa./Penn Hills)#'s pass and returned it 70 yards before fumbling on the Marietta seven yard line. Fellow Purple Raider Alex Ferrara scooped up the fumble and scored giving Mount a 42-0 lead.
Mount Union rolled up 563 yards of total offense to just 104 yards for the Pioneers. Seaman was 7-of-12 for 104 yards and Piloto ended the day 6-of-8 for 109 yards. Each threw for one touchdown and was picked off once. Jeremy Murray led the ground attack carrying the ball 11 times for 112 yards and a score.

Marietta returns home next weekend to host Wilmington College in a 1:30 p.m. Homecoming match-up.
