Meredith Storey (Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Falls) and outside hitter
Alex Weissling (Dublin/Dublin Scioto) spearheaded Marietta's attack by combing for 27 of the squad's 43 kills in the loss, which dropped its record to 0-1. Storey had a match-high 14 kills, while Weissling followed with 13 kills. Sophomore setter
Ally Jenkins (Twinsburg/Walsh Jesuit) dished out 33 assists and paced the team with two service aces in the match.
Defensively, sophomore libero
Jen Braun (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) collected a match-best 20 digs. Weissling followed closely with 17 digs and Jenkins contributed 11 digs. The Pioneers combined four five total blocks, as Storey finished with four block assists, while freshmen middle blockers
Paige DeVriendt (Bowling Green/Bowling Green) and Kathryn Hanssen added three and two block assists, respectively.
