John Carroll (3-2, 3-1 OAC) compiled 294 yards of total offense, rushing for 150 yards and passing for 144 yards. Marietta (2-3, 1-3 OAC) finished with 164 total yards, 60 yards on the ground and 104 yards through the air.

Tevin Dones (Oakley, Calif., Antioch) came off the bench to lead the Pioneers' rushing attack with 12 carries for 58 yards. Senior tailback
Lamar Hunter (South Euclid, Brush) added 11 rushes for 22 yards but uncharacteristically put the ball on the ground twice Saturday, including once on John Carroll's 2-yard line. Hunter also caught a team-best 3 passes, which went for 14 yards. Dones, sophomore

John Carroll's Jeff Javorek connected on 17-of-25 passes and threw for 144 yards with 1 interception. Frank Ross pulled in a game-high 5 catches for 36 yards, while DaQuan Grobsmith ran for 52 yards and 1 score on 13 carries.
The Blue Streaks defense was paced by Jim Gilchrist, who finished with 10 hits, while Joseph Cigas added 8 stops.
John Carroll took a 3-0 lead on its first possession when Brad Marchese capped the 48-yard drive with a 24-yard field goal.
A Hunter fumble on Marietta's second possession set up a quick 5-play, 43-yard drive that ended with a 5-yard touchdown run by Grobsmith to give John Carroll a 10-0 lead with 2:21 to play in the first frame.
A blocked punt late in the second quarter led directly to a 40-yard field goal from Marchese. He then added another 40-yard field goal as time expired to give the Blue Streaks a 16-0 lead at intermission.
John Carroll added to its lead on the first play of the fourth quarter when Marchese hit from 24 yards. The field goal capped a 92-yard drive that followed a Kriechbaum interception. Marchese then completed the scoring with his fifth field goal minutes later, this time from 39 yards to give the Blue Streaks the 22-0 victory.
